In the Spring of 2025, I installed a typewriter in Felix Gade Hut on Lundy. I asked people to connect to the Lundy Landscape through a written Haiku.
I was amazed by the number of responses. Mostly visitors contributed, but some of the staff did as well. I received over 250 Haiku’s!
I took these from the typewriter and cut and pasted them into a Journal. I have digitized the journal so that you can download it as a PDF.
I hope that you enjoy reading them as much as we did creating them.

I wrote one of these haikus and loved it. I found myself composing more haikus then around the island and when I got home! Thank you, Jane, for sparking my creativity!

Inspirational Jane. How surreal it felt tapping away on a portable again. ( I see my first “Haiku” is included but an amended version from a later visit isn’t – so just for the record )
