As you know I’m a big Lundy dipper, all seasons! The Portuguese house is in the Leira district of Portugal, not as close to the coast, as I’m used too. So finding spots in the river where I can get into the water is a mission. This one we discovered after a day picking olives in the sun. We drove down and round some lanes and eventually came to the river at Foz De Alge.

There were a few spots that looked inviting for entering the water. I got the swimsuit on and waded in. I was a little hesitant. No one else was around except for a couple of lovers. They were not in the water!

The water felt warmer than Lundy. I knew there would be fish but happily no seals!
