Devon Day 2025: Celebrating Heritage and Culture

Devon Day 2025 was celebrated on June 4, 2025, coinciding with St Petroc’s Day,

I was asked by David White on Radio Devon to do an interview. The station wanted to hear representation from the far North of the County to celebrate Devon Day.

Devon Day is a once a year event, which celebrates the County’s heritage, culture, and natural beauty. One of its objectives is to promote tourism. It was launched by Visit Devon and BBC Radio Devon in 2016. It encourages people to learn about and support the county. I just chatted about living and working on Lundy. Hopefully it put Lundy onto the map for some people who live in Devon but have never visited.

If you would like to listen the link is below. I did the interview standing at my bedroom window, looking out to the mainland of Devon. This i think helped me assemble my answers to the questions asked. There were a few stutters and stammers and some incorrect visitor numbers ! I did though enjoy the conversation.
