Lundy Seascape inspired crochet

I wanted an easy crochet project, something I could do at night, whilst TV was on. I chose this simple granny square pattern and selected the colours from the Stylecrafts range.

The colours were inspired by the seascape and the many colours that the sea presents, on days when I swim off lundy.

Living on an island only 3 miles long and half a mile wide, the sea surrounds me, everywhere I walk. The sea conditions can be very different around the island on the same days. I enjoyed taking my crochet and sitting crocheting in different places this summer.

I would like my next blanket to be inspired by the landscape. The greys and silvers of the granite. The sea pinks and the purple heathers.
